The Max Planck Institute for Brain Research (MPI for Brain Research) in Frankfurt/Main is a continouly growing research institution in the field of basic biological and medical research, with a focus on understanding the functions of the brain’s circuits. Storage and System Specialist (m/f/d)

initially limited, deferment is planned.

Your responsibilities:

  • Mainly responsible for the storage infrastructure of all scientific departments
  • Planning and realization of projects regarding IT infrastructure
  • Collaborating with scientists to implement digital solutions
  • If necessary support with day-to-day business

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. IT, computer science or business informatics)
  • Safe handling of SpectrumScale (formerly GPFS)
  • Fluency in English and knowledge of project management desirable, good level of German is a plus
  • Solution-oriented thinking, independent and structured working style combined with strong communication skills
